I know that there is a vast number of computer geeks here, which means that there should be a number of people who used to cruise around the old bulletin board systems of yesteryear.

If that's the case, then there might be a few of you out there who played door games.  And maybe, just maybe, there's one or two of you that played TradeWars 2002 and LIKED it.

Or maybe I'm dead wrong and I'm geekier than all of you COMBINED since I used to be a sysop, co-sysop, and active member of many many BBS's back in the day.

So, fire up those ANSI-enabled telnet clients and telnet to niflheim.darktech.org (port 23, of course) and play some TradeWars 2002.  If you are nice, I might throw you an in-game bonus - but you gotta start playing first.

Here is a picture of Reject from the last shoot.

Just kidding! I'm a self professed computer geek, but have no idea what you are talking about.

No, HERE is a picture of me from the last shoot.  Not only that, but it's appropriate!

The only thing we used bulletin boards for was downloading porn.

(And yes, my wife knows all about those days.  That's one of the reasons she married me.)

I used to run a BBS back during the end of there days, it was called "The Warlock's Crypt". Door games were one of my favorite ways to waste time.  I think I would like to try out Trade Wars 2002.
