As we all know, ammo is getting harder and harder to find. Everywhere we go the shelves are bare and we leave empty handed.
Let's help each other out here and let others know where ammo can be found in WI (include caliber and price). Hopefully this will keep some of us a step ahead of the people buying everything as soon as it arrives. |

I was over at Flamethrowers last weekend polishing brass. He had thousands of rounds of 223, 9mm, 45, etc... I'd rather shoot his. One store in IL bought all of the remaing handgun ammo I have available for manufacture right now. There should be some 223 left. In the process of making 20k right now. |

Janesville Gander Mt. SITREP as of 1730:
40S&W (Blazer) and 44MAG for handgun ammo is present in decent quantity and not much else in handgun cals. No 22LR bulk packs, just the single packs of the expensive stuff and 22MAG. Plenty of shotgun ammo of all kinds and varieties. A few boxes of Shotgun 209 primers and a ton of CCI musket caps. No percussion caps at all. And no surprise - no primers for metallic cartridges. Sorry, I didn't get prices, but they were typical GM prices (just bring your firstborn and any body parts you can spare...) - Out |

I was at Dunham's, at the mall in Fond du Lac, yesterday, and they had a few boxes fo .380 for about $20 each, but, I didn't think I needed it that bad.
They also had some .22 rimfire. The cheapest was Blazer at about $2 per box of 50. I don't remember the pricing of the .223, but, they seemed to have a few different kinds. Remingtom, .308 was about $20 a box, and they had some kind of import/military .308 for $15 a box of 20. I could see some .40, but, I couldn't read the price. I didn't see any 9mm. |

^^^ Manitowoc Wally world has the same sign up. When I was in there the other day, they had ONE box of Winchester (I think) .223 and ONE box of 7.62x39(?) as well as the usual (or should I say unusual) stuff that nobody seems to buy. Maybe a box or two of .40 or .45 (I don't remember for sure) but nothing that I was interested in. Fleet Farm had NO handgun ammo when I was in there late last week, but I've got some errands to run today so I will check again. MCSports has plenty of .22 from different companies and a bunch of Fiocchi .40 and the rest of the usual(unusual) calibers. Louis Sporting Goods had AE .22lr, some Centaurion .223 bulk pack (~$260/500 or ~475/1000). I don't remember exactly - but I remember it was pretty high! I bought the same stuff from J&C sales, back in November, for $185/500! ![]() ETA: Fleet Farm has some .40 - American Eagle and something else - I couldn't catch the name 'cause I didn't have my glasses. The clerk said he had some .380 that they'd just got in and hadn't stocked yet. |
| I just came from my local gun shop. Somebody came in yesterday and cleaned them out of every 45acp round they had which was a lot and some other calibers as well. The bill came to well over 2k in just ammo. That was one guy! Damn man leave the rest of us some.! I didn't realize it was this bad. Dealer says it is coming down to a box of this and a box of that from his distributors. Holy shiznit. I finally got the guns I always wanted and no ammo to shoot! |

Wally world in Saukville had................................25auto...
All the Fed .22 bulk pack was gone for some stupid ass reason, anyone who is hording that because of fear needs to be kneed in the grown and then punched in the face. They had some Remington .223 but I didn't really look at it since a creepy guy was behind the counter. Sure, the one time there isn't any ammo there is a person around. Last time I bought ammo I had to run all over the damn store to find someone. |

Wausau Fleet Farm
Last week went to the range with about 1600 rounds of surplus Blazer 9mm with intention on just selling it. Was going to burn through it over the next decade, but at todays prices, figured this would be a nice way to get some coin for Christmas. Didn't sell any because someone at the range said Fleet Farm has blazer 9mm for sale for $9/box. I was asking $20, because that's how much it's worth to me to part with it. So there you go, apparently Fleet Farm in Wausau has a large supply of Blazer 9mm. Hopefully this means ammo prices and availability are getting back to normal. |

I have some PMC 5.56 I am willing to part with at 11.00 b ox of 20.00 FTF Green Bay area if anyone is interested. lol, and you paid how much for it? Anywhoo this is the WORST time to buy from anyone selling ammo that isn't a retailer. For those with patience and enough ammo to satisfy their needs for the short term, I couldn't agree more. But I think that's the point. Retailers are all sold out. Folks who stocked up in time at real world prices are willing to part with it, but not for cost. Someone would have to pay me well more than retail to part with my stash. And for some - they're willing to pay just that. If I was dry, I probably would. |
| If anyone needs some .223 fed bulk packs of 100 the hallie wallmart( between chippewa falls and eau claire) has a few boxes. No 9mm, some .22. If anyone knows where some fed bulk .22 is let me know. Our wally world hasn't had any for months. It really sucks trying to get my .22 conversion to fun on golden bullets. |
| It's even tough on us reloaders. Component prices are sky high, and local availability is nil. I was lucky to have stocked up 2 years ago on 10mm projectiles (.40 sw loads) and brass, 9mm projectiles and brass and .45 p&b. I just started sorting brass by headstamps and will probably be putting some on craigslist (way too much of some calibers!). I don't even want to talk about primer availability or the price of powder.. |

Thank you! $7.49/box for 7.62X39??? Par for the corse for Dunham, but Christ, I remember buying this stuff for $1.99/box - and you got a wooden crate / 1000 built better than half the furniture I owned! |
