There's been a shooting incident in an Oregon shopping mall. While details are still sketchy, the early reports are already using phrases like "assault rifle", black semiautomatic rifle" and "machine gun". It reminded me of this graphic that I first saw a few years back.

Ate his gun. Two dead (plus killer), one injured. Shooter seems to have been strong liberal trying to make some sort of statement, but that is just widespread speculation. |

I really think it's becoming a "I'm ready to leave this world" I want this to be my last gift to the world. I want to help them ban guns or so other delusional step toward making a permanent mark.
This aggravates me immensely on a lot of fronts. The kids were innocent. The teachers were innocent. The guns were innocent. And I'm also aggravated that the teachers couldn't carry if they wanted. |

I'm an instructor in a Career and Technical Education Center and I would comfortably wager that half or more of the teachers that I work with would carry if we were allowed. |

That's good to hear about the technical educators! I'm not surprised by it either. But with all due respect, the regular ( math, science, etc. ) teachers I have spoken with lead me to believe otherwise. Seeing as how the majority of teaching staff in my kids schools are women and liberal over-all in nature... I am gonna need to see proof that regular teachers want to carry in school. |
