Will be taking the wife and 4 kids to Boston and doing the Freedom Trail stuff sometime soon. Any advice or tips for doing this? I've never been to Boston. Any cool food spots or things we shouldn't miss? We have 4 weeks in the area so we'll probably visit multiple times. Checking out Lexington/Concord stuff tomorrow. Thanks! |

Make sure to head over to see the USS Constitution - if you're in the North End it's very close. Also you can take the water taxi to many of the islands in the harbor, Including Fort Warren. As for food - it's endless! Here’s a couple of my favorites: Vinoteca di Monica (a little pricy, but creat), Lucia’s, Monica's Mercato & Salumeria, and Bricco Salumeria. These last two are both deli with great sandwiches (or grindas as they say). If you visit the USS Constitution, look up Warren Tavern (founded in 1780), a 10-15 min walk. |
