My wife and I go backpacking 5 or 6 times a year, usually. There are some great spots in Oklahoma for it.

My wife is getting into hiking and would like to hear about some trails in OK.  Would be nice if there was a good fishing lake close for me as well.

Backpacking in central Oklahoma is great...you get to see prairie, fields, pastures, large barren areas scattered with abandoned cars and washing machines, more prarie, fields and pastures...backpacking in central Oklahoma is also known as hitchhiking.

Defiantly!  I don't see the appeal.  If I wanted to pack a ruck again.....I won't.

i love backpacking, but havent really had the time to go on multiple day adventures yet.  I have the equipment and knowledge base, just got deployed before i ever got the time.  When I get back i just want to go in to the woods and not come back for a week.
