I resigned from my position in a manufacturing company and am searching for another career oriented position.

I have years of experience in manufacturing, and worked most recently in a managment position with an average of 30 people working under me each day.

If you know of a position available with a compnay you work with please don't hesitate to let me know! I am open to all possibilities and am NOT opposed to a career change or relocation.

Thanks guys!

I think you meant to put "not opposed to career change and re-location"

What sort of work are you interested in?  That might help narrow it down a little.

What area of Va. are you looking in?  Northern Va? Hampton Roads?  Doesn't matter?  I know that Northrop Grumman (Newport News) and Norfolk Naval Ship Yard have apprentice ship positions available or you could just check them out to see what they have.

I myslef am starting a desing trainee positon with Northrop Grumman in a couple of weeks.  From there web site they seem to have a lot of benifits for their employees and I've heard that as a company they really take care of their people.

Good luck to you.

Most recently I was a "Production Supervisor" managing 30+ people at a time, but my roots are in the technical side of things. Machine installation, troubleshooting and processing. I developed processes and molds for some of the products you all may be familiar with... or at least the plastic containers that hold them... Metamucil, Hartz Pet Products, Gold Bond... etc....

I am looking for either a supervisory position or a technical position.

It absolutely does not matter what portion of the state it is in, I even looked in to relocating to California... but I had to turn the offer down as California is not quite my "cup of tea". I love Virginia and hope to continue to live in state.

I will definately check out the companies mentioned. Thanks to all my hometown arfcommers!

P.S. Fiend was correct in his post about my typo... I am certainly open to career change and relocation!
