Another Springfieldian here. Hey glk34...you used to ride an R6? GY? Hang out with CN on his 929 back in the day? Any chance you would have been at the little white church in Ozark (just west of Murfins) for Easter Service last year? If you're who I think you are, I may have saw you there. |

Does Ozark count? I work in Springfield. I see you put in for Bass Pro already so that out of the way, on to finding women. Paul Mitchell school, lots of attractive women, some (most) with a touch of teh crazy. Maybe try 417crossfit? What do I know though, I am the old, married, safe guy so factor that into my advice.
As for shooting, I'll probably hit the Bass Pro range at some point next week. Yesterday was a short trip to Busik. I'll try to drop a line next time I head out. Usually there are 3 to a bunch of us that go down to Busik so if you are looking to make some friends it would be a good time. Hope some of this helps. |

I'm in SE area of Springfield. Wife and I don't get out much due to working different shifts. I work for the tool company that believes it is an animal giving technical advice to people that don't stop to think first. There may be a job coming up since one of the techs is leaving for greener pastures the end of Feb but it would be full time if they decide to fill the vacant position. It's very high stress, at least to my 60 year old pea brain. All we do for fun is go to Andy Dalton to shoot or to one of the IDPA shoots that are offered up by Stockton,Mo on the first and second Sat of the Month. For those that are not aware. A new range has been built by the Dukes up by Stockton and they have the IDPA shoot on the second Sat of the month. Nice place, nice people, and you are allowed to pick up your brass afterwards. Since wifey and I both shoot 45 that is a BFD to me. Since I have to load the ammo and she has to cook the meals. Those are Wifey's words.

Welcome, I transplanted to the area 15 years ago. I miss the deep woods of my
native Carter County but there is no other place I'd rather live than Springfield. Well, Fair Grove, techically. Lowe's is in the middle of its seasonal hiring binge, might be something to tide you over til something better comes along. I work part time on the "weekend team" which friday, saturday and sunday. They hire tons of people for the spring since the turnover is so great, might work into something more if you like it. Aplply on line. |

I live near Springpatch, Bois D'arc actually. I go to Andy Dalton by my house all the time. As far as finding cool ladies I think soccer moms will be replaced with Shooting range Moms  because every time I go to the range there are always moms there kinda like Target only they shoot guns. They are probably married though so not much help for you there. And stay away from my wife if you do try and pick one of those shooting moms up.

Single moms, smokers, bi chicks, wives, friend zoners, and cant really think of any other disqualifiers atm. Are a big no no... Ive been to Andy Dalton quite a few tims with my parents. |
