I would also add several photos of the various quaint lavatory arrangements at Bisley, just to show them what world-class toilet facilities look like. They may also enjoy the lack of political-correctness, as evidenced by the almost complete lack of provisions for disabled access.

Anyway... they do sell prints at the range office of various professional photos taken at Bisley, so those might be the nicest option? How about Bulford? Should be up there later this month on D, which is a rather nice range, although only 500 or 600m.

They've changed it from heavy rain to light rain already, so by tomorrow it will be sunshine

....how fantastic a venue it could have been with an Olympic level of investment, and a lasting legacy for the sport.

Yes it might be fairly pants, but imagine if some money was thrown at it to improve the ranges.

Reinstatement of the train service straight into Bisley.

A meeting / conference centre (parties, weddings, sporting events, conventionns).

Oh, and decent modern day marketing methods that use those new fangled things like newspapers, radio, television, t'internet.....

Given the mismanagement of the NRA ovber recent years and the appaling financial mess it has been in, I would imagine the state of Century would be the least of their worries.

While I would love to see the Olympics at Bisley and the lasting legacy it would provide, and I would love to see the NRA going from strength to strength, when the bid was cast to use Bisley the finacial issue was a significant problem.  Would you back a 3 legged horse in the Grand National?

That said, I still think that it is a chronic waste to build a new shooting venue, only to demolish it at even greater cost.
