It's been a LONG time since I spent 8 hours on the range in the rain - and am really hoping it doesn't come to that! Looks like, according to the ticket purchasing site, about 1/2 the available slots have been sold. That should make for a nice cozy group. I generally like smaller classes, it seems you get better education that way! No, we're bringing the AR's for both days... Only have the one .22 rifle, bought used, and it has a scope mounted and is missing the rear sight. I figure this way we'll both get plenty of trigger time on them and get them dialed in tight. Fortunately I have plenty of ammo - bought cheap (relatively speaking) before the great ammo rush of 2008/2009. Besides, that will give me an excuse to spend some time on the loading bench this winter!  Leastwise, I'm hoping they will let me police my brass! Is that 500/day per rifle? Or are you talking 500 per rifle total for the weekend? I was planning on bringing 1,000 rounds - I had thought that the Appleseed site had said 400 or so rounds for the weekend...So what's the super secret Arfcom high-sign? (So I know who to look for?) Actually, I'll be wearing a set of old woodland camo BDU pants and a black Carhardt T-shirt, and Mrs. Shack will probably have her Gadsden NRA hat on... I reckon we'll see you there! |

500 per shooter for the weekend. You should be pretty safe with 1K rounds between the 2 of you. I will likely be wearing my shooting jacket with an ARFCOM BFL patch on it. I am a "Red Hat" Appleseed instructor and the club Treasurer. |
