Has anybody thought about a date for the April get together? Is anyone even interested? |
The pistol match should be a good one, 8 stages and the round count is over 180! Following the pistol match, there is a precision rifle match. They don't have the details published yet, but you can check for details at UDPL.net. So how about it guys, can we form Team Homer again? Who's in? |

I'm in! I don't know about the precision rifle part (neither my rifle or I are very precise :) ), but I'm in for the handgun match. I'm up for a get together on the 30th as well-- and looking forward to it! HD |
HD, I watched you shoot at the match, you're being to modest. Bring you rifle for some trigger time, and have some fun. BTW, have you determined if your XD malfunctions were only with the one mag? If you want an opportunity to try the gun, the fun shoots at USA and Rangemasters are great for testing the gun in similar conditions. So far that's Me, Dan, and HD. Arch and JR both said they were interested in the precision rifle match, maybe they'll chime in soon. |
Well, shucks, Homer... I appreciate that. I know there's plenty of room to improve, and as long as I'm having fun doing it, I'm happy. I don't necessarily want to be a Miculek, but I'd love to be fast and accurate enough to be dangerous  I haven't had a chance to test the XD again, but I did notice some crud in the extractor channel that I cleaned really well. I'm fairly anal about keeping things clean, but this particualr area is easily overlooked, so I'm hoping it was to blame. I have marked all of my magazines now, so it should be easier to spot the culprit, should it prove to be magazine related. |

Can we say the 16th? Tax monster would you be able to make that? I'll be out of town the weekend after that, and moving on the 30th. But I would love to come, I went out there today and i found the remains of what appeared to be 2 (formerly stuffed) barney dolls, blown to crap. Who would commit such atrocities, I have no idea. Anyways, if the 16th doesnt work, I can deal with it. As long as there will be more to come. |
