[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Atwell Tactical Reputation?

I was looking to get my Daniel Defense M4 barrel shortened to pin and weld a Surefire MB556K and they seem to be the only place near Plano that has the ability to shorten, re-crown, and thread a barrel. Does anyone have any personal testimonials or experience using their services?

I have used him as an FFL a couple times and he seems like a nice guy and knows what he is doing. He always had a variety of gunsmithing things going on when I was there. I highly recommend him.

Shorten, recrown and thread is exactly what he did for me. Plus thread protector that is undetectable when in place. Great work.

He did some work on my gun cut a rail to fit flush with AAC 51 mount.

He got me my first suppressor many years ago. Done lots of work on guns for me since, always excellent. I highly recommend him.

He threaded my savage bolt gun (perfectly and cheap), I just bought my first can from him, and have used him for transfers. Top notch service and quality of work.

I had him cut, crown, and thread a barrel for me on a bolt gun as well as cut the shoulder and time a brake on my AR for me. It was A+ work in my opinion.
