I received the following email. How would you respond? Is this normal? I have never had this happen.
We are conducting an internal audit and would like to verify serial numbers for the 2 lowers that you purchased in May of 2008. If you could either reply to this email or call me back @ I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you in advance |

I'm guessing someone is having a problem with their books. I would call them at a number that you know is them (from your original reciept) and see what they ask.
If your tinfoil is tight, you could tell them to get bent and make some counteraccusations just to be safe |

If you have no hard feelings with the dealer, why would you not call them back? Let them give you the serial numbers they have and let them know if they match what you have or not. What is the big deal? Agreed, its not like you are disclosing anything they shouldn't already know. |

What is the big deal? This! As long as they say "we want to verify xbf322 and esf533 were sold to you, yes or no?" Then you are fine. let them initaiate the numbers to insure security. Sounds like they have a numbers snafu. |
