| I am heading out in a few hours and I need some local info. I have a Caddy waiting at the airport but I need to know where I can pick up a Rabbi costume, an Oil Sheik costume, a boom box , and a trained armadillo. Point me in the right direction. |

Not sure if you're serious but I'm sure you could find the costumes at Lucy In Disguise on S. Congress.

I was at the filming for the Clash Video Rock the Casbah Video (when all the maniacs run to the stage when they opened the doors at the old Austin Coliseum for that show).
That same building is also where the gun show used to be (until the retard Austin city .GOV decided that "guns were icky & bad" and kicked the promoters out of any and all city facilities) Lot of good memories on those board floors! both for fun shows and gun shows! Gawd Austin has changed, or I've gotten old, or both! Here is some Ol' Timer "Spot the Scene" (where did it take place) 1:17 The Posse (Once Upon a time long ago there used to be both a Posse East and a Posse West!) 1:36 Convenience Store at 29th & Rio Grande (next to Breeds hardware and across the St. from Jr's drive through beer) 1:41 - Franklin Savings Original Building (looks like an old house 1:45 Burger King on the Drag at 27th 2:44 flying in over 71 / Ben White Blvd to Bergstrom A.F.B. 2:53 flying over the 183 to 71 cloverleaf to Bergstom A.F.B. 3:10 City Coliseum at Auditorium Shores |

I went to the pool at the Radisson and had the wife take a photo and I spotted I think what is now a Wells Fargo bank that can be seen as the armadillo walks by. |

Some great places from days gone bye bye!
Club Foot (a 4th street new wave music venue in corragated metal and chain link deco. Saw (and was in) some epic awesome fights outside that place! Speedy's Piano bar (sing along) on 6th street. Got more smashed than my liver had any right to survive at that place. If you just drank, you sang then you smiled you could pick up a pretty gal and have fun every single time! Mad Dog & Beans Burgers & Ice Cream on 24th Liberty Lunch (actually had a piece of roof from the old Armadillo World Headquaters) Downtown. Raul's (Punk Rock Club on the Drag) Conans Pizza - Right across the parking lot from Raul's - We used to eat at the window and watch the "interesting mohawk & spikes crowd" go in and out. |
it could be, that would be awesome start in Austin shoot out 290 to 281 and down into San Antonio end up at the Alamo, that would be fun

There is a piece out on the internet written by the guy who played the Rabbi and he said the pool scene was at the Radisson. The Clash were staying there. |
