January was a night pistol shoot, February was a clubhouse/potluck, March was a day/night rifle shoot, haven't heard anything special for April. I'm planning on bringing the usual unless I hear differently.

Not to speak for Steve, Jeremy or Dave but New shooters must be there by 11:30am for the briefing. Anyone showing up after 12 noon will not be permitted to shoot.   If I run a stage this weekend it's going to be more about accuracy than running and gunning - think 3x5 index cards as the targets from several different positions.

We'll have to see how it goes.  I have to get my taxes done and find some 9mm for this to happen.  If both of those don't happen, well, see you in May!  :-)

I'm planning on being there as well. Would like more information about what courses of fire, if available.

I do know the course of fire is not known till that morning. Most RO's make it up as we go, and they are good at it to. Just bring 300rds for each of the firearms you bring and take home what you dont use.

The Usual.  That's all one needs.

I'll probably have a low round count stage on the 300yd range, with no magnified optics allowed.

To clarify, no one showing up after noon, is allowed to shoot. Any NEW shooter who is not there by 11:30, is not allowed to shoot.

I'm about 2 hours away from this. I'd like to start attending every month, as I really want to get more active in the shooting sports this year. Can't make it tomorrow on such short notice, but I will start attending in May.

Could any of you guys that have been tell me what gear is needed as far as mag pouches go? Would a simple double pistol mag pouch be ok? How many rifle mags are generally carried on your person?

You can carry as much gear as you want, some show up with several mags, plate carriers, and all the tactical shit.  If you think you will actually ever have to "kit up" this is the place to do it. You will know by the end of the day what works, and what doesnt.  In the same breath, if you CCW a IWB, but wear a drop holster to these events, you're missing out on the practice for your EDC...

What you NEED:
carbine with a proper sling, and 2 magazines.
Pistol with a good holster and 2 magazines.

There has never been a stage where everyday clothes and a magazine stuck in a back pocket wasnt sufficient.

That sounds awesome. Describing that way, I guess I'm good to go on gear. I really wish I had known a few days ago. I look forward to seeing you all on May 5.
