...anyone else see the B-17 flying over Spring recently?...my son has been telling me about it for a couple of weeks, and I thought he was smoking dope until he just now pulled me out of my chair in the office and hauled me outside to see it. Went over the house at about 1000 feet...looked like it was circling to land at Hooks AP. Seems to have the late war silver paint job a with some yellow and blue tail markings. The drone of the four engines is unmistakeable. If you hear it go out and take a look. It is an awesome sight...

Hi!

The B-17 Bomber, "Chuckie" will be at Skydive Dallas on Saturday, July 1.  They have made special modifications to this aircraft that will allow us to make Tandem Skydives through the BOMB BAY DOORS!

This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity.  We know of no where else that has ever been able to offer this.  The price is just $399.00 and includes a still photograph just before you exit.  (Unfortunately, video services are not available for these skydives.)

Proceeds benefit the Vintage Flying Museum.  ( www.vintageflyingmuseum.com )

CALL 1-800-SKYDIVE OR (903) 364-5000 AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATION TODAY.  There are a limited number of Tandem slots available.

Yup, saw it take off this morning as I was driving into my neighborhood.  Too cool and a big beast.  It's been about 20 years since I've seen on ein person.

...it looked a lot like that one in the picture except the one flying over the house had a lower ball turret. I was leaving my house at 5:45 and it flew over again. This time at about 500 feet and I could see everything on the underside very clearly. Very cool......

The nice thing growing up in WI was the EAA fly in... you didn't have to go to see all the cool aircraft!

We had a local airport that held a free luncheon for any aviator that dropped in with their warbird.  It was cool!

Jumping from a B17 sounds like fun.

However, most of the last jumpers are 86 years old, and did it from a B17 on fire over france.
