A friend of mine recently tried to buy a handgun but had her background check was denied. Would a misdemeanor for endanger safety/use dangerous weapon be the cause? If so, is it now illegal for her to own any firearm?
My understanding was if you weren't a felon you were good to go.

That misdemeanor is a crime of "domestic violence." Any misdemeanor under that category would federally prohibit the sale/possession of a firearm.
