Since I have a small backyard I got this for casual plinking and occasionally sniping some mice.
It's a Talon SS PCP air-rifle, made in Texas but customized by myself.

Equipped with NVG - excellent for mice sniping at night

Prepared for long-range shooting

Prepared for short-range mice hunt

No, you're not "normal" anywhere, but here.

But, who is?

Exactly. I am only as eccentric as my budget allows. I have thought about selling 3 of my ARs so I can make the other 4 more interesting.

Sounds like an interesting project, or projects!   However, I'm sure you will figure out a way to have SEVEN "more interesting" ARs.

That thing is worthless till you post a pic of your mouse kill next to it.

Per public demand...

30 yards at night - never knew what hit it...

30 yards at night - second was apparently too curious and came to see what happened to the first

I let this one go - it was a flying squirrel

This one was in the bird feeder without invitation

Hit in the eye @ 15 yards

Enough, I believe...

You should have one of their heads mounted and hang it on your wall.

Problem with those is that you need a magnifying glass to see anything...

The Talon SS out of the shelf is not very bad $$$.  (~$450 at StraightShooters)

There's a newer model based on the Talon, Condor but you pay more $100 for it.

Problem is when you start adding the accessories (scopes, etc.) and doing some custom jobs, as always of course, and things get more expensive.   Tim at MAC1 is an excellent source for mods and an oustanding airgunsmith.

Air Force made several mods on the Talon and pratically released the Condor based on market/customers feedback do you should not need to make too many mods yourself.   However, the rifle literally asks for a 24in  barrel.  So if you get the Talon you almost must spend the extra $$$ on the longer barrel.   But then you have two rifles in one.   The barrel is very easy to change.   Just an allen wrench and a couple minutes.
