I'm getting ready to send my Kahr MK9 slide and barrel to ADCO for there threaded barrel extention to use my NANO suppressor. I also have my M700 LTR I want threaded 5/8-24. It's $135.00 for my barreled action from ADCO. My question is, can someone do the LTR locally Anchorage/Wasilla? I don't want to pay 100's of dollars locally if I can just send the Kahr and barreled action to ADCO. I don't think anyone around here will do the Kahr threaded barrel extension.

I pretty sure Steve (gunsmith/owner) at Alaska Custom Firearms has the knowhow and equipment. They are on Old Seward Just North of Dimond. If you are on AK outdoor forums he is a sponser and you can PM him at SUNTIET. Or you can just call and ask. I'm not certain, but I'd be real suprised if he couldn't do it. I've never had him cut threads, but he has done alot more technically difficult gunsmith work for me.
No I do not work there but I prefer his work over others in town, and you catch no bullshit unlike another gunsmith shop that I will no longer go to. He is a good guy, served in USMC, and is a great gunsmith. When I recommend him it is usually echoed by a few on this HTF. |
