The newest Bass Pro store has just opened in Rossford, OH at I-75 and I80/90 (Ohio Turnpike). They were all over the news yesterday when their soft opening was. The Grand Opening according to basspro.com is on the 3rd of July. Problem: No black rifles! Especially with being this close to Perry, you'd think they'd have something! |
| Just purchased a Remington 700 in .308 off their used rack. The gun was brand new no marks on it and it had a threaded barrel. I got it for $349.99. My biggest complaint is that you cannot try the triggers on any of their firearms. I asked the sales guy and he said the trigger locks are not to come off the guns period. When I asked why he said it was company policy and that someone could come in and ask to see one and either shoot themselves or other customers. I found this to be entertaining. I have even been to the Republik of Kalifornia and was able to see firearms and try out the triggers. Oh well maybe with enough complaints the policy will change. |
It seems they don't know much about the lake or river. When my buddy went in and asked where their drift socks were for trolling in the lake two employees in the "fishing" department had know idea what he was talking about. My buddy then found what he was looking for 5 minutes later in their department. He said the store is still mainly focused on bass fishing. Well I guess it is a Bass Pro Shop. |
| Went there the other day. Kind of disapointing. No good deals to be had. Ammo seemed pretty high and the fish tank isn't anything special. The drive to cabelas is worth it. Bass pro is just ten minutes away but nothing special. I've been to one other bass pro in St. Louis......waaaaay better than this one. If you go........ DON'T fill out the entry for the free gift card on the second floor. It's a scam and they are selling TIME SHARES!!!!!!!!! How effed up is that? |
Very true, but even though they do have a better selection of firearms related stuff, Cabelas' prices are hardly better. I mostly walk out of that place empty handed because their prices are just too high to justify. I have gotten deals there in the past, but they're pretty few and far between. They're both a wash, IMO. |
