Hey guys, noticed a large group of bees hanging out on a wall in our neighborhood  (most likely in the wall with a nice hive going).  Couple schools nearby, lots of kids walking by it all the time.

Are there people that would happily come and relocate the bees? Don't need them dead, just not right there where they have moved in

If not, I'll just notify the HOA and they can call somebody in.

Up in Mckinney/Frisco.

Thanks.

A Google search for Frisco beekeepers has this as the top result.  http://www.littlegiantbeekeepers.net/about-bee-keepers

Yeah I saw those guys, just thought there may be some bee lovers out there that would "free"ly take them

I'll send a note to the HOA and give them the beekeeper site.

Thanks.

They may be harmless honeybee's. Or they may be the africanized killer bee's.  Youd probably already know if they were the aggressive ones.  Someone would have gotten the hell stung out of them by now.

MOST Texas bee keepers, if they are honey bee's will come get them FREE.

It's not something you think about, but BEE's (honey) is a valuable commodity here.  They also use them in truck loads to help make flowers grow on farmers land by moving them around.

They may just be swarming while moving to a new location- this is the time of year they seem to do that.
When a bee hive population grows too large for the current hive location they hatch another queen and she and a large number of the worker bees leave the hive and search for a new location.
You may see a ball of bees on a tree limb or under the eaves of a house near evening. They form a ball to keep the queen warm.
Honey bees are harmless- they won't attack you if you don't attack their nest. If they are swarming they may be gone the next day.

Yeah, these ones are just hanging out on/in the wall.  My dog and I walk by them just about every day, there's usually a couple flying back and forth, but no issues.  I'd rather just leave them there, but knowing others' fear of them, somebody will probably try to kill them, so I'd rather a bee specialist relocate them.

Is this on Eldorado pkwy across from the Green Bldg?  If so, they're harmless--let 'em alone.

No, not on Eldorado. Different group I guess, I'll have my bees call your bees.
