Im going to be in Delaware the weekend of the Nascar race. Considering staying in Bethany beach at the holiday inn express. Is this a pretty good area to hang out for a few days?

If you have the kids with you yes. Go to Ocean City Maryland, 20 min south. Thats if you want the night life.

Bethany isnt all that close to Dover. Its only about 3-4 miles up from Fennwick Island. And where Fenwick ends Ocean City begins.
Check your map man. Unless Dover is gonna be packed with no vacancies. Look at Rehobeth(sp) and Dewey beach they are closer.

Race week, even Salisbury is booked up! Grab the free papers(Rags). They list all the night life at the shore. Traffic is a b*tch getting to the race. Check Dovers web sights for the going ons. Good luck!

Race week most stuff for 100 miles is booked up. If you have a tent try killens pond campgrounds . If thats booked up let me know you can pitch a tent at my place. im about 35 min south of the track next to the rifle range.

Managed to find a room. I work for a Nascar driver so I know how bad the hotels situation can get. Thanks for the offer for a place to crash.
