I'm off all week next week, so was thinking of doing a couple afternoons if anyone would like to join me?

You could always book one of the electronic targets, would not need anyone in the Butts.

i was thinking more along the lines of fig 11/12's and walk back to work out points of aim on the targets.

we could even use this as a bit of a training session, for people who havent done service rifle before and would like a practice before jumping into a comp.

i'm more than happy to run it with it and give people all my knowledge so thats the first 2 mins taken care of

When it comes to the NRA it's very difficult at the moment, at least I'm prepared to challenge them as is my right as a fully paid up member. Why are the electronic targets not working, should be pretty easy to maintain. A potentially fruitful revenue stream lies idle, looks like the new Clerk of Works is not doing his job.

Electronic target maintenance will be over by Christmas........ and now winter is coming the wireless connection to the range office will work....due to the lack of leaves on the trees.

Someone needs to be sued over those targets...they have never worked properly....for more than 5 minutes

Last I heard, the NRA had never fully paid for them either...

Yup I heard they kept some money back...... but enough ? I wouldnt want to work out how much lost revenue those targets have cost.....and the knock on reputational effect of calling the range office, asking 'how are the targets feeling today ?' driving to Bisley and then they dont work and waste a whole day not getting a single shot marked back......and I only live an hour away....

Its been years....

They told me today that they will be ready in a week, new targets and sensors have been installed and all they are waiting for are the monitors to be reconfigured.  We shall wait and see.

Given the amount of time they've been installed, and the change of technology in that time - they are probably obsolete!
