I am new to Florida - 3 years . And finally have the time to go hunting now that things have settled down. 2 friends and I want to go out and have a boar hunt in SWFL but refuse to pay the $ people are asking. They are a varmint to land owners but suckers pay $500 for a hunt ? In NY I would hunt deer off the patio in season and have them in the freezer by noon. Been to Babcock and asked but have received multiple BS options. Can anyone give me a straight answer as to where to go and how to do this legal but without the cost in or around Naples/Fort Myers? Willing to travel and do all the field dressing but need the spots and permissions/laws. TIA - Chuck Edit - THINGS WERE NEVER BETTER IN NY (just stating facts of previous activities - we had a 125 acres in upstate) - trying to figure out how that gets translated to things were better? If you're not willing to help then don't. Been to the WMA's site and was more looking to a private land owner willing to allow thinning or the population.

i know you've been down here few years but we don't ever like to hear how things were better in new york  might wanna look for some wma(s) in your area, i'm not familiar with the west coast but here is the fwc's website. try and find a wma in your area. good luck. ap |
