There's nothing on the schedule on their website for after end of April. There's usually a Memorial Day weekend show in Eagle River (and again on Labor Day). Anyone know if it's just a lack of them updating schedule on website, or did they quit doing shows? They have been getting noticeably smaller & smaller the past few years. |

This has happened before with the "Bob & Rocco" shows, where it takes them a while to download a new show schedule on Gunshowtrader.com. As far as canceling shows, it's usually due to not enough vendors renting tables. Sometimes venues are hard to fill. And that is where a promoter makes his money, from table rentals and entrance fees. Gary |

It's his own darn fault. Few times I've tried to get tables at his shows and couldn't. He wouldn't allow it even though he had PLENTY of open spots. Twice while I had my FFL. Showed up well before the show opened on Friday, 11-12 o'clock, and he would not allow me a table. With work schedule at the time it was impossible to commit to a show months or weeks in advance. Most times I didn't know til Friday if I could show all week end. Sat in the parking lot with a truck load of guns. Went into the show and lots of open spots. Interesting most filled with thrift sale junk, not guns. Sure I understand some people don't get there in time. However Sat and Sun the same tables sat open, unused. I don't mean 1 or 2 tables. I'm talking 20 plus. Guy can run his business the way he wants. However cancelling shows cause you can't fill tables. What an idiot. |

I've learned more since my OP. This is what I've been told from multiple sources. The show wasn't cancelled by B & R shows because it lacked vendors. It was cancelled because the contract with the venue where it was held had expired. The venue wanted a bigger cut (more money) to renew it. With vendors participating & attendance being very low last 3-4 years since covid, B & R said "no thanks, not worth it". I don't blame them. It was to the poinbt of being pitiful compared to what it was 15 years ago and before. I bought 6 guns in that building over the yeasrs, everyone was a good deal IMO. To be honest, I saw this coming. Vendor participation declined sharply after covid & economy tanked. It went down by more than 60% in my estimation, between 2020 & 2025. Partly because a lot of the "regulars" over the years either retired from it, or died... or decided the return wasn't worth the effort. The last show in E.R. on Labor Day 25, I'm guessing there were only 5 or 6 vendors with more than 5 years attendance here. With that lesser amount of vendors, and higher prices by those who did come (mostly newbs with all overpriced "tactical" shit) it led to sharply declining attendance. I'd drive by multiple times on the weekends of the shows, and see the empty parking lot. Lots of "Fudds" around here. When the old vintage bolts & leverguns got replaced by black rifles on the tables, the fudds quit going. I know this for a fact, I know many of them personally. I'm part fudd myself, just because of my age I guess.  I've been going to B & R shows in Eagle River ever since the very first one. Never missed a show... because I live about 2 miles from where it was held. I will miss it. For me it was a way to kill time with people of a like mind... and it was so close, I could actually walk there (I did so, twice, years ago). |
