So if all sales have to be face to face does that mean that dealers can't receive product via mail?

Look to me like an out of state dealer can sell to a dealer in state just not a person.

Ummmmmm.   Ebay, don't tell them CT has dumb laws.   Bam, what ever you want to your door.

Or I bet the EE here has a lot of stuff.   Most people out there don't know other states have stupid ass laws, few people already were going to send mags to my house when I was buying large lots of stuff.   I had to tell them not to send them, even then a few were confused I think.

So I can meet a man from Tenn. at a rest stop on I95 not for sex but to purchase body armor and I'm within the law?
Or can i drive to another state and do a face to face purchase?
Once acquired how will I prove where and when I got it since I may lose the receipt.

That is correct.

The law does not currently require someone to provide proof of purchase.

Similar to the Sig brace. The atf will force a CT scan and an MRI to determine INTENT. If they determained you INTENDED to do it the the justice system will be systematically applied. For the chirren of course.

Why do we try to make it harder? Read the law- find a way to make it happen- end of story!

Why would you need to prove where, when, how you acquired the body armor? The law on body armor sales post above is what it is. If you note the law quoted above, it is actually aimed at the seller or the person who delivers the body armor not the buyer or person who takes possession of the body armor (provided they're not prohibited from possessing body armor).

I had mine sent to the in-laws in Florida. When they came to visit, they brought it to me and handed it to me. Face to face.

I had it shipped to MA. The plates ripped the box and my wife's friend was like. Told them they were targets.

This is something I need to stop being lazy about. Since its a hassle to jump thru the hoops of shipping out of state then face to face yadayadayada it was low on my priorities.

I have a similar method.  My company's main office is in FL, and so is the billing address on my work credit card (important as some companies won't even ship 'restricted' items to free states if the CC billing address is behind commie lines).  Order scary items on company CC & have item shipped to FL office.  Items ship to FL, and are then fwd'd to me. I even get an extra month of free financing, as the company hits me up for non business related expenses on the car about a month after the bill arrives :)
