Is it legal for Civilians/non leo to own body armor in Ohio?

Yes, it definitely is legal.
I believe it adds more time (3 years?) to a sentence if used in the commission of a crime, like a robbery.

It might be worth getting some armor if anyone on here goes to that shitty range that goes by the name of Target World

armor is legal, I asked the same question in the legal thread. I don't have my own but I do have my brothers three level 3 vests with trauma plates until he wants em back.

just don't go committing any armed robbery while wearing one lol. Also I wonder if you'd get harassed by LEO's much like you would for OC? If you we're walking down the street in a flak vest or any other body armor and some soccer mom pees her panties, calls the cops on you. How much shit would they give you?

Hmmm......walking down the street in body armor and open carrying a big ol' gun.

Might turn some heads, & I'd bet the cops would give you a mountain of shit when they showed up.

I'd like to have a vest just in case the shit ever really does hit the fan.  I call it a healthy state of paranoia.
