Since I rarely have a truly worthy dinner pictures (last night might have been a decent example), I offer fresh homemade tamales & eggs for breakfast. If there's anything better for breakfast I am not aware of it.

(I already ate half of it.  )

Sorry to hear that you made a run for more than just the Border.  But you know what Carlin sez, "A little food poisoning is good for you.  It builds up your immunity."    Which is sorta actually true.

Ask AFSOC about the "shrimpy tea" from the China One buffet up north.    Lesser men would have hurled.  We merely had to make an unscheduled stop by two separate restrooms (thank GOD I held out for a two-bathroom house!) and catch up on some reading material while in there.

WTF? Where's the freakin' hardware?  I know there are rules about this sort of thing in GD.  They'd cane you for sure.  Well, they'd cane you just because it's GD, but you know.

Homemade Tamales. I've had to pull this thread up three times now. Ruiz Castillo has great homemade Tamales. Been a couple of years since I've been in that neck of woods. You know a decent Mod posting boasting such cuisine would at least post the recipe.

Oh God...........

That's what the toilet said as I shot at it repeatedly.    It was supposed to be iced tea, but it was seriously "off".  I sipped it enough times to empty about half of the glass, which apparently is the proper colon cleansing dose for my height & weight.

I have heard of these rules, but have never actually seen a definitive listing of them.  And in my defense, I hadn't planned this photo ahead of time.  It just sorta came to me when I was already halfway through the plate so I decided to quickly snap a pic in order to brag and fill the boredom of a Sunday morning.  I believe I had all the required accoutrement within arm's reach to include a stapler, a precision measuring device, a decent knife or two, a sidearm and half a dozen or so rifles, including reloads.    They just weren't posed in the pic.

It wasn't my home in which they were made.  Good God man, my ancestry is German, Dutch, Swiss & Austrian with me being born in W. Germany.  The closest my people get to tamales is pork, in a decidedly sausage or schnitzel format.  These were made by REAL Mexicans, or at least folks with nice tans and rather broken Engrish selling them out of the back of a beatdown pickup truck in the gas station parking lot.

I will try harder next time.

87th & Raytown Rd, that is correct.  Bought 'em several times. Ain't killed me yet.    Price was $14/dozen.  Apparently they were in hibernation whilst it was crazy cold & snowy so I was seriously glad to see them back open for business.

That was a butcher shop when I moved out of Raytown. I did not mean to put them out of business...
