| Currently watching Christies Budget Message, so far he's done nothing but state the obvious. |
|
Quoted:
prepare for the property tax hikes. If people get property tax hikes... then they have nothing but to blame but themselves. The towns should be cutting their budget so there wouldn't have to be hikes. If they raise taxes, then as the famous saying goes 'You're doing it wrong..' |

prepare for the property tax hikes. Don't ya remember what Christie Cream said," I will VETO any new Tax Hike that comes across my desk." Ya, and ammo prices are gonna plummet to the level of 20 years ago. ![]() de facto tax increases abound, just sit back and wait. If you froze the state Aid this fiscal year equal to the amount of thier surplus, its fair and reasonable. but to do that and then tell them you want them to cut this years budget by 5% for next year because your reducing aid. this is leaving a big hole in school budgets and jobloss is eminant. I assure you when the parents are told little tommy's favorite teacher is being fired, they will line up to vote yes on the new budget and the tax increase. |

its not up to the towns. you really dont know much about this do you? i am done trying to reason with you on this. i agree that things need to change and fast, but this is gonna do two things( and we will see if im wrong) raise property taxes and create more unemployment.
*** if you really want to know how to fix this, you gotta charge for everything over basic education programs, sports, esl because you dont speak english, special needs kids, everything. |

Its up to the board of education.
You also haven't offered any alternatives, (or anybody else for that matter). There is NO MONEY. The state cannot afford to prop towns up anymore. Good day. |
