Hello everyone. Just wondering about a couple things.
I'm planning my first trip to Buffalo range. What's this about bringing cardboard?
My brother in law is visiting from another country and was wondering, can I take him to the range to shoot? Most places I guess require you to be a resident or at least have a FOID. Also, can I shoot my 12 gauge shottie at the pit (plinking range) or is it rifle's and pistols only? Thanks in advance for the replies.

They use cardboard as target backers, people bring them cardboard so we always have fresh backing. Not necessary to bring, just a thing regulars do to help out.

Yes you can bring him, in fact you must bring him every time he visits

No problem with the shotgun at the pit. You may have more fun with it if you can put a full choke in it.

One of the guys from the range will be along soon and correct me if I am wrong.

Thanks everyone. i'm originally from and my brother in law is from Southeast Asia. I hope you guys don't freak out when you see a couple of asian guys with AK's. Those things were made for us . I actually have a buddy who will also visit next month. Maybe I'll bring him too. He's a member of the local Gestapo...er I mean police in that country.

Ron is correct with his reply. Just make sure your brother-in-law understands the range rules and safe gun handling practices and have a fun day!
