Guys, my brother-in-laws house was broken into yesterday.  They stole a bunch of his guns.  They were in one of those stack-on type gun lockers.  Some of the guns lost belonged to my late father, so they have some sentimental value. .  I've been monitoring backpage, but I can't be on there all day since I have to work. If you guys are buying guns and run into any of these I would appreciate a heads up, so we can notify the police and get the gun(s) back

The guns that were taken:

Polytech AK/47 side folder, this one has wood furniture not the plastic, no plastic in stock, has had a trigger job done to it, so it has a screw behind the trigger to stop the trigger.  This gun is in 99% shape.

Springfield XD9, this gun has a green frame.

A Smith & Wesson 5 screw .22 revolver, this gun has lots of wear on it and it has had a trigger job on it, so it has a really light trigger.  It is blue with wearing and has a 6" barrel.

Cricket .22, they took my nephew's fucking cricket.    It had a black stock.  This one is useless to the thief's because they didn't get the key for it, so it is locked.

Ruger Mark II .22 pistol, this is a blue 5" bull barrel gun they didn't get the magazines for this one.

Remington 870 (class 3), 12" barrel with a wooden pistol grip and fore grip, no front sight.

Sig Mosquito .22 this gun is blued (black) they didn't get the magazines for this one.

Phoenix  Arms .22 pistol, I don't remember this one really.  It is small and stainless I believe.

870 Wingmaster, had mag extension, has shoulder/pistol grip stock.

2 - Ruger 10/22 one is blued one is stainless, the blue one is sporting a homemade camo pattern stock.

If you guys happen to see anything that fits these descriptions please IM me, we have all of the serial numbers so we can positively ID each gun.

Thanks in advance.

Oh yeah, I FUCKING HATE THIEVES!!!!!

Thank you.  Any help is appreciated.  Like I said some of these belonged to my father and are some of the only things of his that my little sister has that were his, so they meant a lot to her.

Damn - this sucks. Did they bust right into that Stack-On cabinet? Did they only take guns? If so then I'd say they knew what they were after. Might want to check into his "acquaintances". Does he advertise that he has guns in the house, i.e. gun stickers on his vehicles, walking to and from the house to the car with gun cases, etc? That is something I always worry about with my neighbors.

I hope they catch them and the police kill them . . . . but that's just a dream, I suppose. Good luck man, I'll keep my eyes open. Did you post this over on AZS?

Let this be a reminder to us all that we need to keep our guns locked up well and keep a record of what we have. I have pics AND video of my guns.

No they took 2 netbooks that belonged to my niece and nephew, a work laptop that belonged to my brother-in-law, my little sister's laptop, 2 Nintendo DS's, a Nintendo Wii and some games, and a 32" flat screen TV that again was for the kids.  This was a smash and grab,  The neighbor had video surveillance and while it didn't film their house directly it did film the car they used and we might be able to send the video in to get it enhanced to see the license plate.  They were in the house for about 18 minutes.  They used my nephews hand made blanket (by his grandmother, his dad's mom) that he loved to carry the things out in.

They are pretty low key about their guns.  No NRA decals, or other stuff.  They just moved in on Saturday, and on Wednesday they were robbed.  The Glendale police told us that this was the first burglary in the neighborhood in two years.  Guns are loaded and off loaded in the garage, not in plain view.  The thing is that they don't really have the money to replace all the stuff that was stolen, so they are going to have to fight their insurance company to get what they can.

I don't know what AZS is, so no I didn't post it there, but if you clue me in I will.

AZS is Arizona Shooting - there are a lot of members over there who can help keep an eye out.

I'm interested if getting into the Stack-On was easy or not, 'cause my Dad uses one for some of his guns and I tell him that it's no good.

His stack-on was mounted to the wall in the studs.  They pried it off the wall and took it.

Sorry to hear about that. I will keep an eye open.

I have a Stack-on as that's all I can afford right now. In my old house I had it bolted into the concrete flooring, but since I'm renting, I don't feel comfortable doing that.

91st Ave & Northern Area.  Rovey Farms.  The vehicle is a dark colored blue maybe black (it is hard to tell in the video) small 4 door car looks like an import, I can't really tell.  They are getting the video enhanced so that maybe they will be able to get the license plate.

Get the plate number and post it up here if you can. I'll keep my eyes open as I'm near your area.

ETA: Might want to contact the local gun shops and give them the S/N's of the firearms so they can keep a look out as well.

That's a good idea.  I'm on it.  Thanks.  When (if) we get the plate number I will post it here as well as the make and model of the car.

No movers.  We moved them along with a guy from my brother-in-laws work.  The car doesn't match and the police have talked to him already.  So they are checking into all of that.  The house sits on a corner and the garage blocks vision to the front door.  You can only see the front door from one direction.  The front door was kicked in.  It took them 3 kicks to do it, that's he number of footprints on the door.  The police also think they might have a fingerprint, but of course it could be one of ours.  My guess was a neighbor, but then the police told us that this was the first break-in in two years and that a lot of cops live in the area so it gets patrolled regularly. They left thousands of dollars worth of camera's and gear and tools.  So I am guessing it was a smash & grab.

They may be back.  A video recorder and camera would be a good investment, along with an alarm system.

The alarm system was installed on Thursday.  Right now they can't afford a video camera surveillance system.

ETA: Also the camera stuff is now in my safe (a real safe, not a gun locker).

Before I could get a proper safe I also just had one of these stack ons and was worried about thieves just taking the whole safe if they were in a hurry.  It will only help somewhat but what I did was load it as full of my ammo stock as I could with just enough room for the guns.  I figured it would make it too heavy to easily haul out of the house so if they wanted in they'd have to stick around long enough to pry the cabinet open (most thieves don't want to stay that long).

I got broken into last week, second time in 4 years.

Yes I have an alarm, they are useless for the most part.

Smashed in the sliding glass door hit a couple of bedrooms

grabbed an xbox 360, 32" visio LCD tv, Acer netbook, HP camera, some cash

and left through the front door. Couldn't have been in for more than

a couple of minutes. Broad daylight between 12 and 3 in the afternoon.

Have 3 small dogs that bark like crazy, didn't faze them. F**kin Punks.

Just installed a 6 camera dvr monitoring system, has remote internet

capability. Maybe I'll at least get an ID on them next time.

Don't forget to search Backpage since a lot more guns are posted there.  Just a heads up.

ETA:  If you can get screen captures of the vehicle posted here, at least it might be a start for others to BOLO. -SS

ETA2:  Post the things Stolen Firearms Watch in EE here too.  Ya never know. -SS

Where does your BIL work?

It would not surprise me if the guy from his work has something to do with it.  Either intentionally, or mentioning it to someone in passing.  I bet if you follow around BIL's friend from work, you'll eventually find the blue/black car.

Ok, I posted the firearms in the stolen watch section and I have been on backpage everyday since the robbery.  The video did not work on my computer, I will try to get him to get me a screen shot of the car.

I'm having my brother-in-law walk the parking lot now.  We'll see if there is a car there that fits the description.  If there is, we will get the plate number and report it to see if it leads anywhere.
