I live in the Dallas/ft. Worth area and although I own a very nice AR I would like to build my own using one of the 80% finished lowers available at several websites.  I would be interested in any north Texas AR build party where the tools are available.  Can any of you help me?

post it in your hometown area. Much more likely to get a response.

I'd be interested in something like this also, but I thought it took close to two days to (carefully) cut an 80% lower.

with a cnc mill after you have it programed correctly its about 20  min :) for the first one then around 10 min each for the rest.Unless you have a cutter that busts or gals up. And if you have a couple of sets of jigs to drill the 3 holes you do those as the next one is being cnc ed

If someone's interested in setting something up, I've got one 80% lower and a set of jigs I'd be happy to bring.

Assuming everything is legal. I know there's been some issues with "build parties" and the ATF.

I've been thinking about doing one myself but all I have is the drill press nothing else. How long would it take just to do one?

Texas is a big state. A build party in Terlingua is probably of little use if he lives in Texarkana. Might want to narrow down the location.
