| Where do you reloaders get your bullets? Specifically I'm looking for something in the 125 - 140 grain range that's jacketed and .357". I got a new toy that's .38 Super and it needs some special "food". Talked to Ray Witham with Armscore and he's checking to see if they have anything. Also getting in touch with Angus Hobdel at Ghost Products. Anybody use any other suppliers? |

TJ Conevera's, Inc I just bought 1000 Winchester .45 230 gr FMJ for $104.00 shipped. Received them in a few days after I placed the order. They don't have a large selection, but they have good deals once in a while. +1 on Montana Gold. They make the best bullets IMHO. The price of plated bullets is now more than jacketed. I also look at Midway. You can get a small discount if you have a C&R. Dillon Precision Berry's Mfg, Inc www.berrysmfg.com/ These are plated and I have not had a chance to try them, but they are located in St. George if someone was up for a roadtrip to save on shipping. |
I've had great success with both Montana Gold and Zero Bullets from Angus. Neither can steer you wrong! |

I've ordered from both Montana Gold and Precision Delta. Precision Delta tends to run a few dollars cheaper than Montana Gold. PD has a more traditional copper colored bullet where MG has a brass colored bullet from the higher nickel content in their jacket. I loaded up a bunch of both (in .45 ACP) and they both shoot the same. Both ship in USPS flat rate mailers so you get your goods in about 3 days. I've also shot Armscor (still have 1000+ of them under the bench) and they worked well. I think as far as cost, however, they are rather expensive after adding in shipping, unless you frequently find yourself in Pahrump for other reasons. Also, as a side note, I've tried some of the Wolf large pistol primers for my .45 loads. They seem to burn very consistent. Was getting velocity SDs of 7 and 8 over a 10 shot string (4.0 grains Clays, 230 gr. MG and PD FMJs) I'll certainly be ordering more of these. |
