I have recently visited a LGS and the owner had his own 3 SAFE compliant ARs at the store.  One of them had all the evil features and bullet button mag release with the hole J-B welded.  It got me thinking that this is something I would want to do, but is it really legal since the J-B weld can be drilled out?

The real 100% true answer is, NOBODY knows for sure.  There has been no rulings on that exact case.  Sorry

You mean the bullet button epoxied or by some other method?

What are you going to do when you have a catastrophic failure and can't drop the mag as part of the clearing drill?

Im going the spur and a prayer route. MAYBE  the MR2, I will see closer to Aptil, I may do nothing but relocate
