I have a coworker who has an old Iver Johnson revolver and he wants to get rid of it. (He needs money) It was originally his grandfather's, who kept it in his commercial fishing boat, then his dad's and now my coworker's. After life in a drawer on a boat it lived in a drawer in houses. I'm confident that it's not a crime gun. Once it's in my possession what do I need to do to inform the state that it even exists, and is now mine? |

Attached File Attached File I have my work cut out for me. The bore looks bad, but there's some rifling visible so maybe scrubbing will be a pleasant surprise. I think I'll try EvapoRust at some point in the revival. The cylinder is wiggly, but the timing is fine. It'll need new grips if the project goes far enough, but all that will be its own thread. I figured out how to make it legal with my state. The gun store gave me solid advice when I bought another gun today.(Sig 322) I think this will be fun! |
