I just wanted to provide some details regarding the class the I took. I took the class offered by the Ohio Law Enforcement Training Center (range located in Grove City). I feel that the training and instruction that I received was excellent. Both of instructors are police officers and they truly made the class an enjoyable experience. The information that the attorney provided was eye opening to say the least. My biggest suprise was the range time. I did not know what to expect but I thought that we would just be participating in "regular" target practice. Boy was I wrong!!!! I was first to shoot and we started off with a low gun and on command had to raise, fire and then lower the gun. Then we progressed to multiple shot, multiple shot placement, low light shooting, and one handed exercises. They offered suggestions and techniqe for each person individually as that person shot. By the time the training was over I was actually shooting better one handed than I did previously with both hands just target shooting. Anyway, I really had fun with this class and wanted to pass the information along. If anyone is interested in thier training program, let me know and I'll post their website address. |
