| I am finaly going to get my CCW. I know that I am going to put my Para LDA 14.45 and my Glock 19 on it but I want to get somethig a bit smaller. Also, any input would be great from some of my fellow gun toters, here in Nevada! |
| I have my G21 on it (my application that is...I havn't got the permit yet) and also my PM9. I don't get my CCW for another month (Dang 120 days of processing! ) I plan on carrying the PM9 only. It's a nice gun. I run around the house carrying it just to get used to the feel of having it on me. Possibly picking up a Kel Tec 3-AT in May....I know I know....a mouse gun. Don't throw the stones just yet. I want one for those hot, out the door days when I need to run somewhere quick. So, for now I only have two on the future permit |
| I picked up a Glock 36 that Im quite happy with. Im going to get the ball rolling on my CCW and carry it. I found it to kick less and shoot better than my old Colt Defender (POS) I got my 36 at Bill's Buy and Sell and their price beat everyone else's in town. I tell you, you wont go wrong with the 36. |
Take a look at the all Titanium Taurus revolvers. You'll be supprised at the quality. |

ANyone know how the .40 and .45 compare? I know that 9mm is considered less than truly effective and that the .357 sig AND 10mm were both a lot of hype, but most of the feeling of the .40 and .45 i heard were that they are extremely similar in ability. I like the .40 round personally, but i know SO many folks who swear that the old trusty-but-rusty .45 is the best stopper... Anyone? |

In handguns, bigger and slower beats smaller and faster almost every time. But there's a lot more to it than that, obviously. Me personally, I carry a USP compact .40 but only because they didn't make the .45 in a compact when I bought it. Still, .40 is a great round and I have no doubt that it would do the job if I needed it to. Back to your initial question, like W-W said, I'd look at the S&W airlites or the alloy frame Taurus revolvers. Both are very well made and are so light that they make carring in the summer much easier. And 5 shots of .38 beats hell out of no gun at all. |
