| In this crazy election year, do you think it would be safer to obtain a CCW permit to be safe from having some type of firearms ban? I was not really into rifle or pistols when the other ban was in place, so I am not sure about this. My question is guess is, would it be wise of me to obtain a CCW permit as protection from some type of firearm seizure or restriction on ammunition or whatever the dems/marxists would like to do? |
I think it's mainly paranoia. Get your CCW and don't worry. The day they start knocking on peoples doors to take their guns is not going to be a good day and the .gov knows that so I don't think most of them are that stupid. Besides they already have access to the Form 4473 so if they really want to know who owns firearms they can find it. |
Obtaining your Concealed Weapon License will not serve as a protection from a firearm seizure or restriction. If they are going to come to take your firearms away, a license will not be worth the paper it is issued on. At that point your firearm itself will be more important than the license the State of Florida issued to you. I am an ex-LEO from Ohio. I had not carried off duty since I left Law Enforcement in the late 80's. I didn't really see the need. Then VA Tech. happened. I advised my wife that if we were out for dinner or whatever, and an idiot slimeball threatened our lives, the only thing I had to defend us with was my Swiss Army knife. So, to answer your question, the reason for you to get your Concealed Weapon License is not to deter something the Marxist Liberal Leftists might do. Get it so you can protect yourself and your family. If they do come knocking on doors to confiscate firearms, with our press reporting the way they do, they will not be able to keep it a secret for long. If that time comes, they will see just how determined Americans who believe in the Second Amendment can become. The NRA has 4.3 million members alone, and this does not include the MILLIONS of firearm owners who are not NRA members. Being ex-military and ex-LEO I can say for a fact that the majority of military members and LEO's believe in the Second Amendment. You might be surprised how many of "them" will join "us". Keep the faith. |
+1 Although I must say, when the time comes for "them" to be knocking on our doors... there probably wont be any doors for them to knock on... more like broken down buildings and rubble (I picture Katrina on steroids). Obambi scares me. The government scares me. The second amendment is there to protect me from those I'm afraid of. If the government doesn't want to comply with "...the right of the people shall not be infringed..." then I say "Come and get them!" ![]() As for whether the CWP gives you any different treatment than non-CWP owners, I would say it puts you on Obambi's bad side... simply because he's been VERY clear about how he wants to get rid of it... That being said, if I didn't have my CWP prior to his being elected (or is it planted?), I would sure as shit get it right now after hearing him say he wants to ban it nationally. Just to spite the communist ass hat... I'm just glad my fiance and I both are exercising our rights to protect ourselves... Get your CWP so you can be free. Don't get it just because of some political non-sense. |

Get your CCW and start enjoying all the benefits it has to offer.
