From the one or two articles i've seen in the Sentinal Zien was supposed to introduce legislation by July, it's almost August so what gives? The WI CCW website and Zien's website are pretty lax on info. |

I get email updates from Zien's office. The only recent ones have been his itinerary of speaking engagements. Nothing about affirmative steps towards CCW. I have to wonder if it's worth the time and effort to run it up the flagpole again. If everything was an exact do-over, we might be able to muster the override. It would still be a cliff hanger, and we'd still need to negotiate the bill until it was palatable to several dems. Much as I don't like the prospect of waiting, it might be prudent to see what happens in the next gubernatorial race. If we replace Doyle with someone who will sign the bill, we can write in any way we like. We have the votes to put the bill on the governor's desk without any dem-discussion. |
I got the feeling that went the way of "lets say we'll do this but really not since it's not our idea and doesn't jive with the way WE think it should be done" I have a feeling we may not see CCW come up before thend of August, who knows though....... I'm startin to think we may not see it at all this year........ |
I believe yer correct. At one point Zien's office said that it was going to be re-introduced in July, that obviously didn't happen so it's the same ol waiting game... We've waited this long, whats a couple more months right. |
