Hi, guys. I had never ordered from CDNN. Yesterday I ordered 2 20 round Ruger mags for my mini 14, 2 10 Round Ruger mags for my 10/22 and 2 30 round C-products mags for my Colt 6920.  The damn stuff got here today.
Is turnaround usually that fast?  I know it is the same state but dang?
Lot's of people talk smack about CDNN so I wasn't sure but turnaround seems great.

BTW, has anyone used C-product mags?

I have ordered a lot of items from CDNN without any problems.  Nice and fast delivery.

I haven't ordered from them in a few years, but I've got no complaints.  Always lightening fast shipping.  They're in Abeline, I believe.

No problems for me.  I just don't like the fact that when they charge sales tax for Texas residents it includes the price of the shipping.  I've never had a mail order place charge  tax on the sum of the order + shipping.

If it's shipped from a company in Texas to a resident or businness in Texas, then sale tax is charged on the shipping also.
It's been that way for years now.

Even with shipping and sales tax, I usually get a pretty good deal on things.  Ive ordered several items including firearms from them.  Yes, they ship fast.  Always like downloading their latest catalog.  They are one of my favorite dealers.  Just wish they sold more ammo.

I've ordered so much stuff from them, they don't have anything left in stock for stuff I need.

Seriously, I've never had a problem with anything I've bought.  Some of the stuff is UTG, but isn't listed as such.  The ambi safeties for ARs have to be whittled on to work well, but overall, it's all fine considering the prices.  No brand stuff for no brand prices.

yep, texas says tax shipping if shipped item was taxed

8. Are delivery or shipping charges taxable?
Shipping and handling charges are taxable if the charges are associated with the sale of taxable goods or service.
For example, you sell a sofa to a customer for $500. You agree to deliver the sofa and charge separate fee of $50 for delivery. Because your sale of the sofa is taxable, your $50 delivery charge is also taxable. You should collect sales tax on $550.
In contrast, if you sold a similar sofa for $500 to another customer who issues you a properly completed resale or exemption certificate, then your sale and the delivery charge are exempt. If you deliver the sofa for a fee of $50, the delivery charge is not taxable. You do not collect sales tax on the $550.
Note: "Delivery," "shipping," or "postage" on an invoice represents delivery charges. Please refer to Rule 3.303. Please note that separately stated charges for postage are not taxable when billed by the seller to a client if the cost of the postage was incurred by the seller at the request of the client to distribute tangible personal property to third party recipients designated by the seller's client.

Only problem with CDNN is that they're in Texas! If they were out of state I'd save a lot of money by not paying the damn sales tax. How bout a little move to Oklahoma

 I like the idea.
Of course, Oklahoma members would be absolutely pissed at the move, but we don't give a rat's ass.

What about guns?  If you want a gun from them (their prices seem OK but not spectacular) what do you do?
Do you go to your local gunshop and tell them to order it from CDNN?  Wont' they tell you to fork yourself?

Download their latest catalog 2010-1.  They have Ruger 10/22 stainless steel barrels, synthetic stocks, Ruger scope base, and a 4x32 scope for $239.

They also have CMMG 22LR conversion kit with 25-rd mag for $189.99

I talked to them the other day. It is just like buying a firearm anywhere else online. You call CDNN, check and see if they have your transfer FFL on file. If they do, proceed with order, if not, have your FFL fax his license to them. Next, tell operator at CDNN what you want, what FFL it is going to, and pay for the firearm, tax and shipping. Firearm will be shipped to your FFL, you will go to him/her, and fill out a 4473. If you have a CHL, that is it, if you don't, the FFL will call the transaction in to do a background check.

That is only for private party to private party, and even then I wouldn't recommend it unless you knew the other party personally.

Why not just a second location?  And users could order from whichever one they wanted...

as long as they have a presence in your state, they have to collect sales tax even if you don't order from in state.

People bitch about paying sales tax in the same dam state they live in . . . . . .are most likly the same people that bitch about the state cutting back on services when they are out of money

If the sale tax on the item increases the cost to where you can not afford the item, maybe you shouldn't be buying it in the first place.

Sorry I just have a problem where everyone wants their toys to be cheaper . . .. . Then company's makes the toys cheaper by laying off US workers and moving work over sea's.    Now the buyer is out of work and needs it even cheaper.    A never ending cycle that ends in doom for US workers as good paying jobs get exported.

If we're not bitchin about sumthin then we ain't happy!

I live south of CDNN about 60 miles and would/could if they would let me in the damn front door avoid the shipping charge. I understand the damn tax thing. But, as was explained by one of their friendly staff that they DON"T HAVE A PUBLIC STORE FRONT and you have to get the product shipped. OK! OK! Chill! So far I've been able to beat their prices out of state even with shipping. So, their loss is some other AMERICAN companies gain. YMMV

PS: And I found out this afternoon that there is a damn toy show in Abilene this weekend and I'll have to go just because and piss off the wifey since I won't be able to whittle on the "honey due list" Yes, I spelled it right. Life's difficult ya know!

You won't hear me bitchin' about a loss of services. In fact if the .gov would stay out of my life completely I'd be very grateful. Texas gets more than enough taxes from me on every day transactions and property taxes anyways. BTW maybe if said workers didn't unionize and drive costs up so high that companies can't compete, then they wouldn't ship jobs overseas.

Here we go...

No brick and mortar stores.

Can we blame Walmart? Drove out all the little guys in the small towns because you could get everything at Walmart cheaper.

Now the philosophy at Walmart has changed. They want to carry the top selling 10,000 items and that's it. The most dollar from the masses, screw it if you need something different. Same thing at Home Depot or Lowes. Need an 1.5 inch gas valve, good luck, it didn't make the cut and you'll have to hunt your ass off to find it because the little guys who sold that stuff 20 years ago are out of business. Guns are leaving Walmart, fishing is leaving Walmart, now the fabric departments are leaving Walmart. I guess you could argue urban vs rural, but lots of rural stores have this shit going on. And I hate grocery shopping at Walmart, just because they're selection sucks.

Now the only question is whether or not we'll see a return of small brick and mortar stores who carry this "special" stuff or we're stuck with online ordering where basically it's 1900 and we're ordering from the Sears & Roebuck catalog.

I've been ordering from CDNN since 2001 when I moved to Texas and have never had a negative experience.
