So, I am thinking about getting my CHL.  The only problem is that I got into a little trouble about 10 years ago in Colorado.  I ended up with a couple of misdemeanors, did what I had to do to take care of everything, and have not been in trouble since.  I moved from Colorado, back home to Texas in 2006.  I do not have the court docs or anything, I can't remember exact dates, or even the actual charges.  Like I said none of them were major, just stupid stuff.  Anyways, as you know, you have to have documentation for everything when you check yes on the CHL app.  So, what can I do if I don't have any documentation.  I am able to purchase guns myself, but I do always get a delay.  Just trying to figure out what to do.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Contact the court house in the county where it happened (you remember that ) and see if they can help you get the information/documentation you need.

What class misdemeanors. I don't believe you have to report the lower level stuff and 10 years is a long time. Have you read the DPS website on this?

Eta: Yep I think you're good bud. If it is outside of 5 years I wouldn't list it. You can always call DPS and ask.

The application form asks you to provide details if you've ever been arrested or charged with a crime.

Yes it will show up on the FBI background check.  You need to contact the county clerk's office in the arresting county and ask for a disposition of the case(s).

You'll have to send that in with all your other documents.  You should be good to go, just have to have the supporting docs.

You just got him denied.

OP, you don't remember the charges?  Really?

Contact the county where it happened and get certified copies of the dispositions.  You will likely have to pay for the certification and having the documents mailed to you.
