Ok, clear your diaries and get the holiday forms ready.
I have dates for this years NRA CSR champs. There will be an extra day of shooting this year, making the total 5 days shooting Wed 29/6 Practical Rifle matches Thurs 30/6 FIBUA & 100-300 matches Fri 1/7 Urban & Rural Contact matches Sat 2/7 QM LR contact match & Falling Plate team match Sun 3/7 Methuen Cup Some changes to the CoF this year in line with the new Pam 20 due to operational requirements. Total round count for all 5 days approximate 406rds min. Should be fun |

Count me in for the full five days. Of course, I have to ask, will the two PR events count towards the CSR championship or will there be a separate Imperial PR championship? It sounds like a cracking week. If we can shoot the moving target match as well it will be an excellent week. Oh, And don't listen to Ickle Fwaggle - the curry, rice and chips was OK last year. |

This is the Civilian Service Rifle Championship. As you will see, there is an extra day solely for the new Practical Rifle match. This is now to be permanently published in the Bisley Bible. This will be the only Practical Rifle match. The other two, the short range and long range PR matches will revert to being part of the CSR aggregate only. They were always SR matches anyway. A lot of work has been done by many people to make this happen, and thanks to all of them. I saw the new PR CoF tonight and it look good. This match has been implemented to encourage the old PR fraternity to participate in what they should already be participating in anyhow. There will be subtle changes to the FIBUA, Urban & Rural Contact and QM matches also. At this time I'm trying to get the moving target match scheduled for the eve of Fri 1st July. Looks possible presently. It won't count for the champ but may be a charity shoot challenge. |

So what's the PR Day CoF? Hopefully not loads of rounds and no feedback. And what's the Long Range Rural Contact Match (New) CoF? Thank you. To be fair, Chris Vale put a lot of work into formulating the CoF. It's not dissimilar to the one he did for us in Nov. It's a single one day match at this time, 9 stages of 10 or 10+2 unless it is agreed to have a split day as in CSRit goes from 600-100. When it's agreed I will post it. The new contact matches are in the new revised Pam 20. Do youhave a copy? If not I will email the revised matches to you. I am reluctant to jump the gun and post here until they have been approved. Are you planning on shooting Mil or Civ this year? Civvy's where it's at |

I won't have to book leave this year, as I will be a fully fledged OAP And talking of which any chance of an Old Soldiers QM variant like there was in past years for those who have qualified for their bus pass? And yes I know it would mean non-eligibility for the CSR Championships. If there isn't I have the choice of either not entering the match or walking down from 300 yards, in either case championship contention is irrelevant. |
