As much as I hate them, I need to see them. I let my ASG license laps cause I got in to the HVAC field. I understand that all I need to do is get CEU hours and license renewal money and I can get my license reinstated and conduct armed security again. I'm willing to go back to security for some extra spending money.
I have done at least 7 hours worth of their online "training" but they have only reflected 5 of those hours, two of which are for the same video course. Now Wednesday I plan to go to Ada and renew my license but if they don't reflect all 8 of my hours there will be no point in going and ill have to wait forever if I mail it. Do any of you security gurus, or even you cops here know if cleet will accept my hvac school diploma as CEUs? Granted it has nothing to do with security but they once accepted an ITT tech transcript a few years ago. I don't really wanna pull hours out of my ass last minute but if all my hours aren't reflected tomorrow COB, what choice do I have other then mail and wait? |
| I doubt they would accept any HVAC stuff as continuing ed but it can't hurt to try. Have you tried calling them directly and asking? I know its hard to get actual answers to questions but it might save you some headaches if you can someone with authority on the line. I took the test for that course several years ago but never went any further with it because I didn't see any real money it. Maybe I'm wrong...is there any money in it? |

I do believe asg renewals are 16 hours continual ed nowadays, not 8 hours like they used to be. they also are good for three years instead of two. The people if spoken with have told my 8, unless I only lack 8 of 16 hours. Either way, I've got all eight, maybe one hour short. |
