Okay fellows, and gals, we are on for the CMP matches this year at Pinetucky in Augusta. I have three dates for the year set aside that I will organize, they are as follows:

May 29th

July 31st

October 30th

All start at 9AM.

Now, for the input part. There are three 'classes' that we can shoot in, I'm only basically interested in two of them for right now, but want to see what everyone wants to begin with. The two choices for the first one will either be high-power rifle or rimfire sporter.

The highpower rifle will basically have everything shot from the 100 yard line with 'standard', 300, and then 600 reduced targets. The COF is around 50 shots and will take a couple of hours to complete.

The rimfire sporter is any 22 with iron sights or a scope. This is a deviation from the old aperature sights only. It would be shot from 50 yards. It would be great for the whole family and if I'm not mistaken we, the club, has several 22's available for use.

I don't think that we can get both of them in on the same day, at least not before noon when the range is open to the public, so I'm interested in what you want to try out. It's not a vote, just an excursion on to the world of opinions and interest. If there is enough interest AND participation, I'll do some more of these especially of we can get kids involved and out shooting.

Specific equipment requirements and suggestions will follow as we get closer, however, as long as safety is first, it'll be a shoot what you brought or can borrow while your there deal as far as I'm concerned.

The Tactical Corset.....what all the "Delta" ladies are wearing.

Well, I must say that you look a lot better wearing it than he does, but I think he NEEDS it more than you do.

Bill, welcome to the board.....Your Thread Has Been Highjacked.

The "Tactical Corset" is a chest rig.

About the CMP matches - The smallbore game would be interesting.  I don't think that the HP match would be as interesting at 100yards; negates windage and elevation adjustments.  I think that PT has some of the Romanian .22 trainers.

Rim fire. Not sure the old Nylon 66 has any life left in it. Last time I looked it look like a smooth bore inside the barrel.

We control the horizontal and the vertical.  Do not adjust your set.
