All rounds in an 8' circle from 1 yard without using the sights.
All rounds in an 8' circle from 7 yards as fast as you can.

Have you shot a handgun before?  Can you generally hit what you aim at?

If so, you have nothing to worry about in the CPL class.  You'll see when you get there.

yeah, i own a P95, a .44 mag super blackhawk,  and have shot a snub nosed .357 mag revolver(hell of a muzzle climb though......)

As many as it takes to stop the threat.
In training this usually means two or three center mass hits but you must avoid forming the habit of firing a specific number of rounds every time.
