OK - here is the class of rifle info.
ANY IRON – “Any rifle with iron sights, with no restriction on slings (but rests may not be used)”.
I'm interpreting 'rest' as meaning bipod, as it does in practical optic class.

Is mag resting OK?
CSR gurus please advise.

Thanks

p.s. any suggestion of gayness and I'll bash you with me handbag.

Should you be posting here then? Shame seem to remember you had a cracking Highpower Service Rifle.

I always understood that under "Any Iron" magazine resting was not allowed to make things fairer for L39 Enfield's and things like straight pull M14's.

ACR26 care to comment?

You can mag rest, about the only person shooting in the any iron class is "Old Bob" and he uses a AR15 with open sights.  Why make a specila rule for M14s and L39 when no one is using them?

Words from Bible are:

Magazine resting is permitted, no part of the wrist of the supporting arm must touch the ground

The above does not apply to the Service Enfield Class. You don't always need Paul to comment.

Roger your last!

There is one M14 which does make an appearance during the summer meeting; I also have an L39 (service sights) waiting in the wings, work and some health issues have stopped me from shooting it in recently.
