So the other day a lady called my wife at our family bussiness and said to quit calling her. My wife told the lady that we only deal with other bussiness. The lady then said that someone called from our number and it even came up on the caller ID as our company. My wife said she told the lady to call her phone company and see whats up, maybe they have something crossed . The lady called back today to say the phone company said this is a new scam people are useing and even though the U.S. government knows about it,they cant stop it. Does anyone know about this caller ID copying crap? Is there no way to stop it?

We have people call and report that a lot here.  One guy had his own name/number come up as calling himself one time lol.

Soon they will use your number to call other people and you will get the blame.

In the last year or so I've dealt with numerous phone scams and text messages. From what little info I've been qble to find about the ones I've got, the seem to mostly originate out of the country, so there's nothing to be done about it
