First I need to ask if anybody knows if it is legal to attach a sling to a Sig-Tac SB15 Brace that is mounted on an AR Pistol? I can't find anything so far that says you can't nor can I think of a reason why you couldn't (just can't put a buttstock or a vertical grip on a pistol). And if the answer is YES, how would YOU do that?

Next on slings for you guys with AR Pistols and SBRs, which type sling (single point, two point, hybrid) and WHY for use during a Team Carbine Shoot?

My AR Pistol has a Keymod Rail so I can put the forward QD just about anywhere and the Pistol Tube I have has a QD on it for a Single Point Sling (I have seen many SCARs use the rear receiver QD for a two point setup). I currently have a VTAC Sling with QDs to move between weapons and a custom made two point sling with a Tactical Link QD convertible Triglide so its either a two point or a single point simply by moving the forward QD back to the sling QD Triglide.

Thoughts and/or suggestions.

Please don't take this as legal advice, but a lot of guys used to put slings on pistol and push out using the sling to brace the firearm. This was before the Sig braces became popular, but I don't think a putting a sling on an AR pistol vs. an AR pistol with a Sig Tac would be any different legally. Good luck and let us know what you find about the legalities around this.

I use a VCAS on all my rifles. Best sling ever.

Yeah, not worried about putting a sling on the AR Pistol itself as that is clearly legal. It is attaching any portion of said sling to the SB15 Brace that concerns me. My preference when using a two point sling is to go from the upper most rear point on the stock to the very front of the rail on said weapon. Obviously I want to stay away from anything that would allow somebody to say I have a buttstock on a pistol IE the safest thing is to use the Two to Single point sling using the receiver end plate QD in either Single or two point configuration.

If I were you I would use a sling attachment that's at the rear of the receiver instead of at the rear of the buttstock. I always had problems with slings mounted to the rear of the buttstock getting caught on my gear and such.

Single or double point is up to you. A single point is easier to switch shoulders with, a double point is more secure when you let it hang, doesn't bang around and get in the way as much.

I use a SavvySniper sling with attachment at the front of the handguard and at the rear of the receiver.  I like the ability to transition from single to 2 point depending on what I need and it is quick adjustable.  Only downside is you have to order it from the manufacturer unless someone local has started carrying them.
