I'll be taking my daughter to a Girl Scout Camp in Carnation.
Since it's a fair drive from Lynden, The wife and I thought we would camp nearby in our trailer for a couple of days rather than make the drive twice.
But there doesn't seem to be any campgrounds nearby.
Anybody know of a nice campground in the Duvall, Carnation area?

Checked the Google ones out last night and they're all private.
They're some nice Federal and State Parks, but none are less than 1hr away.

I drive a truck near the Carnation area. It's all woods and farms, just pick a spot and pop up your tent

I dont know if that will work for you, but It is not a bad spot, and Strats range is down the road, Not to mention if you have a medical emergency It is in my area.

If not, I would go looking around a little bit, there are lots of places to pull off and camp for the weekend in the DNR/NF lands.

There is a nice little County Park, Tolt McDonald Park. Get there early on Friday to get a space for the weekend. If you can get there Thursday is even better. With a trailer you might be able to reserve a spot ahead of time, check it out.

Only campground I know of even in that direction is that lake we found the body in in the late 90s, north on Monroe. I can't remember the name anymore, but if somebody said it, I'd know it. But then again, you probably don't wanna camp there.

The only lake around here that I know of with a "Camp Ground" is Flowing Lake Park.

How about you and the wife, drop off the kiddo, and head over to Levenworth, grab a room, and then come on back to grab the kiddo?...

There is also the Money Creek Camp Ground up in the Skykomish area...( I know that it is getting out of the area, and a little drive, or Kyak Pt out by the water, they have RV type set ups).

Right now Thunderbird looks like the hot set up.
I'll give them a call and see how ling a sales pitch I have to listen to for the free weekend.

Money Creek was my first choice, but it's over an hour away from my daughter's camp.

+1.
good camp.. I've camped there several times.

I've also canoed from Fall City - Everett a couple times, and one of the trips we made two days out of it and just camped on a sandbar...
