One of my colleagues at work was car-jacked at gunpoint yesterday morning when he got out of his shiny bmw in the car-park here at work. (location is near the NEC)

His car was later found abandoned in Small Heath  (A nice area , where I used to work ) after being used in a robbery....

Dear sir/Madam

As I drive a luxury car in the "Insert City Here" Area of the united kingdom I would like to apply for a firearm for self defence due to the nature and frequency of car jackings in the area....

Dear Sir,

Thank you for your application that unfortunately I have to decline.

I have toured the area you describe in my fine government Daimler and saw no such problems as you describe, neither did my two armed bodyguards, nor the four armed Officers in the escorting vehicle.

I therefore regret to inform you that as your are clearly exaggerating the issues, there is no case for you to be issued a Section 5 permit for self defence purposes.

Yours

Naaaaah

There are no guns on the streets of Britain, Tony Blair said so.

Just think.....

If the assailants thought they were going to get "capped" by a citizen capable of defending themselves maybe they wouldn't have done it........or if they had they would have been disarmed and disabled.

Not only would the carjack have been prevented, but the robbery as well.......

The case for tooled up citizens rests

No need for expensive insurance claims, long drawn out police investigations etc....Its a vote winner for sure.
