Hello ya'll
I am currently on leave for a couple of weeks. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any carbine classes in the FT Hood area. I will be looking on the internet also just thought I'd start here. Thank you all. |

Only thing I have found down that way was a pistol class or two. The summer seems to be a slow time for classes in TX, I think it's the heat.
I'm attending a active shooter course next month that involves a couple of shoothouses.....I feel the heat already.

I'm sure you could sit a few relays out. Most round counts listed are just a base line average. I've hardly ever been in a class that we've shot the round count listed, it's usually much less. There have been a couple that went way over too. It largely depends on the students and how they are progressing as a whole.

Yeah, been a slow summer for training...I've been working on a SASS prototype and my primary instructor from 10th group won't be available until later this month. We train at Best of the West too, so you might just see what Green Eye Tactical can throw together for you if Liberty Hill is too much of a hike.
Tiger Valley has a one day carbine course the 20th too, $225, 400 rds. I'd also be happy to host a machine gun class or two at Best of the West if I can get at least three shooters per class. Half day, $90, you bring 150rds each of 5.56, 7.62x39, and 9x19 - I'll bring the machine guns (M4, AK47, MP5). I'm flexible on days and times. ETA: These are the variants I use in one of my mg courses- (can you tell I like Ace stocks?)
